*7 of 10 employees are actively disengaged in their current role, according to Gallup.
Although it may be of little consolation, you are not alone. Data from Gallup shows that roughly 70 percent of employees are actively disengaged at work, at a time when workers at all levels have never had more demands on their time and attention. But as companies look to turn the tables and improve retention and engagement, they all-too-often rely on perks and software, when employees in fact need hands-on training led by real people.
Enter “Armonia.” Armonia is the Greek word for harmony and is based on the very simple and age-old proposition that only when the mind and body are in sync — that is, when the mind and body are in harmony — can a person deliver peak performance and live a full life.
Lisa Eisenstadt’s unique Armonia program seeks to achieve such harmony by bringing the mind/body practices first utilized 2,500 years ago in ancient Greece into the 21st Century. Using a special blend of yoga, meditative exercises, diet and physical principles, Armonia is a 360-degree employee engagement program that will transform your company by showing your employees how to eliminate the noise and find inner harmony and peace, as well as outer productivity.
The English poet, John Milton, once heartily recommended
untwisting all the chains that tie
the hidden soul of harmony.
Once the chains are gone and our inner knots removed, inner harmony returns and catapults us back to the free-functioning state we all pursue. So it comes as no surprise that, as attested to below, Armonia practitioners find themselves better able to be more aware and attentive, and to focus on the work-a-day functions so vital not only to them, but to your organization.
Empower your employees to authentically connect with their inner drive and work for a shared mission, not just their paycheck.
Focus your team’s energy on productivity and shared success, not petty matters. A refined point of view among your employees will also help build trust among vendors, partners, and customers.
Improve decision-making as you build self-motivated leaders who respond proactively to events, rather than with reactionary behavior.
I’ve taken a very circuitous, but eye-opening path to this truth and to my current position. Fresh out of Rutger’s University with a degree in psychology, I went to work as a sales representative for a prominent pharmaceutical company. Over the course of six years I was plunged into the world of patients, pills and prescriptions. Slowly it began to dawn on me that, while doctors and the pharmaceutical industry know a lot about fighting disease, there is too little proactive emphasis on mindfulness and wellness; this was a life-changing epiphany.
In 2010, fortified with new focus and understanding, I began exploring the avenues to good health. First, I studied holistic health and entered the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I became certified as a Holistic Health Counselor. Then I turned to Yogamaya New York where, after completing its course of study, I’ve been retained as a Vinyasa Yoga Instructor; I am a member in good standing of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners as well as the Yoga Alliance.
I believe it is my life’s purpose to spread the knowledge I have acquired and empower others to take control of their health and happiness. I love working with large organizations because of the huge potential to drive change in the very place that people spend most of their waking hours — at work. With each person and every company, employee wellness and engagement impacts entire networks, including partners/vendors, customers, and the broader community. So, really, at the end of the day, what better opportunity is there to bring harmony to the world?
My clients are large, forward-thinking enterprises that are 100% committed to creating an awesome culture through smart investments in their people. My Armonia program was designed specifically for their unique needs and employees only need to bring an open mind as we work together to develop the vital skills of Awareness, Attention and Action. With simple tools to find balance, employees will learn to connect with their inner purpose, find enjoyment in their work, and drive their organizations toward positive change.
Before working with Lisa my struggles with food and weight had me feeling powerless over my health and happiness. I tried many diets, nutritionists, surgery, and therapy, but nothing was helping me understand the deeper issue, encouraging me to step out and see the bigger picture, and to take steps forward.
Lisa has given me the support and tools needed to gain a deeper understanding of my true self and how to be in control of my health and happiness. With Lisa’s guidance I was able to become more aware of the limitations I was creating in my life and learned how to be my best self. What I learn from working with Lisa is priceless.
Lisa is compassionate, joyous and inspirational! I feel really proud of my practice and my ability to maintain my goals. Lisa’s inspirational style and high level of expertise are central to that. She helps you reconnect with your deeper self and empowers you with practical tools.
Before working with Lisa I was on the verge of hating my body and how I felt most of the time. I had a terrible salt and sugar addiction and was suffering from food allergies I never knew I had. I tried every diet plan in the book and I was continually frustrated because I desperately wanted to change but didn’t have the tools or support to make those changes. Working with Lisa has truly been a life-changing experience for me.
I came to Lisa for support because I was feeling stuck and unhappy with my body, energy levels, and strength. I had a very negative body image and had reached a plateau in my weight loss. I wanted to feel healthy, strong, and energetic, for myself, my husband, and my kids. Having an hour phone call every two weeks focused entirely on my health goals was essential.
I’ve been struggling with my weight since I was 12. I tried every fad diet, weight loss program, appetite suppressant and meal replacement. I was constantly thinking about my body and food in a negative way. I started working with Lisa shortly after my doctor prescribed me blood pressure and cholesterol medication. In just three months I lost 20 pounds and was off both medications.
I have chronic back pain and my doctor suggested Yoga to strengthen my back and body. After just one session with Lisa I realized that yoga offered much more then an amazing stretch and release for my back, it helped me to calm my mind, reduce stress, and feel strong. Lisa is always patient and responsive to my individual needs and I always walk away feeling her soothing energy.
